A. We seek Japanese (or English)-Portuguese, Japanese (or English)-Khmer, Japanese (or English)-Vietnamese, Japanese-English, Japanese-Korean, Japanese-German.
Pangaea currently needs immediate help particularly in Portuguese, Khmer, Vietnamese translations.
Q2. What kinds of documents need to be translated?
A. Documents include Pangaea activity operation manuals, newsletters, homepages, audio recordings of the activities and presentations.
Q3. What is the level of language proficiency that Pangaea is looking for?
A. We seek volunteers who have work experience as translators.
Q4. How do you actually work on the translations?
A. Pangaea sends you the translation work by email or by holding a meeting to brief you on the details. After that, you work on the translation at home, so you would need a PC and an internet connection.
Q5. What are the volume and the frequency of the translation work?
A. We ask your availability before giving you work. There are approximately 20 pages of translation required in A4 format each month at Pangaea, which we request several translators to work on.
